Preview of Dichro's "Scratch" Remix by Kromproom to Feature on the Upcoming Beatroom 02 Compilation

On January 19, 2024, the band Dichro reached out to Piotr Krompiewski (Kromproom) with a proposal to remix their track "Scratch." Kromproom eagerly accepted the challenge, recognizing the potential of this project. By February 10, he had received the stems and began intensive work on a new version of the track.

It’s worth noting that Peter Guellard, a member of Dichro, previously collaborated with Piotr Krompiewski and Tomek Grochola from the band Agressiva 69 on a remix for the Polish band Blitzkrieg. The track, "In Cold Blood (Kings in White Remix)," became a highlight of the Beatroom 01 compilation. Check out earlier publications about this project for more details.

Dichro is an American band whose music blends alternative rock with subtle melancholy. Their debut album, "Stained Glass," was released on August 9, 2024, under Distortion Productions. The song "Scratch" from this album stands out with its dynamic instrumental sections and poignant vocals. This track became the inspiration for a new, unique remix under Kromproom’s direction.

While working on "Scratch (Trance Rock Kromproom Machine Mix)," Dichro had the chance to hear early fragments of the remix, which sparked powerful emotions. As Peter Guellard noted, the band's vocalist was moved to tears — the best evidence of how Kromproom's music resonates deeply with listeners.

The original version of "Scratch" premiered in August, and the band also prepared a special acoustic version of the track, available as a short video. A live performance of the full version by Dichro is also available. Kromproom’s remix combines trance with rock elements, emphasizing the emotional depth of the original while giving it a fresh, dynamic sound.

"Scratch (Trance Rock Kromproom Machine Mix)" will appear on the "Beatroom 02" compilation — the latest release from KROMP ROOM RECORDS. The album will be available digitally and will include both new and previously released tracks from various artists.
