Jamick: An Artist Who Isn't Afraid to Experiment – "Shiva" on Beatroom 02

Jamick, also known as Andrzej Kulbiński, began his musical journey in 1989 when he started composing music on a friend's Amiga computer. That moment sparked his passion for creating electronic music, and soon after, he purchased his first keyboard, the Casio MA-120. Over time, his music setup expanded to include instruments such as the Yamaha MU-80 and an Atari ST computer, allowing him to further explore electronic sounds.

Jamick recorded his first tracks on cassette tapes, a common practice among aspiring artists in the 90s. His music drew inspiration from giants like Jean-Michel Jarre, Vangelis, Kitaro, and Kraftwerk, as well as experimental creators such as Art of Noise, Marek Biliński, and Władysław Komendarek. One of Jamick’s first albums to see the light of day was Chasing a Falling Star (W Pogoni Za Spadającą Gwiazdą).

Over the years, Jamick began experimenting with more rhythmic genres like jungle and drum and bass, which can be heard on his second album, In The Flash. His style continued to evolve, blending electronic music with rock influences. His experience in this genre includes playing in the band Maria Nefeli and later joining Next In Line, where he had the opportunity to perform at the Benátská Noc festival in the Czech Republic alongside legends like Anthrax.

However, Jamick eventually returned to his electronic roots, and his track Rebirth became the foundation for the album Homo Roboticus, marking a new chapter in his career. Homo Roboticus reflects the artist’s fascination with the fusion of humans and robots, a theme that is also evident in his subsequent projects, such as Season’s and The End of the Known World (Koniec Znanego Ci Świata).

"Shiva" – A New Chapter in Jamick’s Career on Beatroom 02

Jamick will feature on the Beatroom 02 compilation with his track Shiva, which stands out as a key highlight of this release. While the track is part of a larger project already well-known among electronic music fans, Shiva represents an exciting new development in his artistic evolution. The composition blends ambient elements, experimental sounds, and processed ethnic vocals, with a dynamic rhythm that captures attention.

Rather than diving into a detailed analysis of the track, we encourage you to listen to the preview and experience the atmosphere that Jamick brings to Beatroom 02.
